Paint Out 2022

Paint Out
Ludham 2022
June 26th, 2022

The inaugural Paint Out Ludham in Norfolk takes place 26 June in association with Ludham Open Gardens and the imposing 14th century St Catherine's Church.

In hopefully flaming June, come and paint a quintessential Broads village with thatch, boats, lanes, classic cars and wherries, and 16 open gardens. Also, an opportunity to support Norfolk heritage and historic church preservation - as we will be donating a percentage of art sales to St Catherine's, built on an 11th-century site.

This was the place where the artist Edward Seago chose to live in his Grade II listed Dutch House. Across his life, he painted from Italy to Morocco, Anglesey to Portugal, the Second World War to the Coronation, but Norfolk was his love from Ludham to Great Yarmouth and more local sites.

Kieron Williamson, the teenage artist known as the “mini Monet”, was inspired by this area of Norfolk. He still lives and paints locally in Ludham.

Paint Out is a leading plein air art competition since 2014 inviting artists in all media to enter and participate.

Priced at £30 and including Open Gardens day access (worth £10).
